What Youll Own Provides monitoring and 1st Level Support for Business Critical Services ensuring that Service Standards are maintained and quality service provided. Performs and supports operational processes across multiple environments ensuring all tasks are managed and conducted to the highest possible standards; this includes but is not limited to producing supporting documentation. Ensures that all activities are performed and supported in accordance with Corporate Governance and agreed processes and procedures. What Youll Bring Assists with the administration and creation of business metric reports across mainframe and distributed environments that determine processing performance for Senior and Executive Management. Assists with developing and maintain predictive modeling tools to enhance performance related to scheduling, prioritization, and coordination of production files by proactively assessing processing performance and future client needs. Administers automation products, applications, and business processes by utilizing built-in tools to maintain data and spreadsheet reporting. Assists with providing training and communicates to production teams and gathers data for trending, decisioning, and reporting to ensure smooth "go live" when new systems or processes are moved to production. With guidance, identify tuning opportunities to improve run-time optimization and work with business/ application team to remedy issues. Participate in the development and maintenance of analytical tools utilizing statistical data to identify opportunities for improvement and consistency across multiple environments. Provide operational support for all Business Continuity activities and conversion/ deconversion activities. Maintain continuous line of communications, keeping internal partners informed of all critical issues. What Are We Looking For in This Role Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree; Relevant Experience or Degree in: Information Technology or Business related study; relevant experience in lieu of education Typically Minimum 3 - 5 Years Relevant Exp Information Technology Field and/ or Bankcard Industry Preferred Qualifications Strong Knowledge of Mainframe Operating system (IBM Z OS) Experience with JCL(job Control Language) Familiarity in incident management tools. Understanding of SFTP protocols. 3 - 5 Years Relevant Exp Operations experience with CA7, Mainframe JCL,BMC or IBM suite of products. Willingness to work in shifts. Its a bonus if you have Skills / Knowledge - Developing professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. Job Complexity - Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Builds productive internal/external working relationships. Supervision - Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments. Multi tasking - Ability to multi task and adapt to several projects at time. Mainframe/distributed experience - Ability to understand concepts of mainframe and/or distributed work and processes tied to them. Monitor and Execute batch jobs as per schedules using tools CA7 and Control M. Ensure jobs complete successfully and resolve issues promptly to maintain uptime. Identify and troubleshoot batch failure or system errors. Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate team while ensuring timely resolution. Perform routine checks to ensure the health and stability of mainframe system. Monitor system performance and resource utilization. Maintain up to date documentation for standard operating procedures (SOP)and batch process. Generate and share periodic status report with stakeholders.
