Company Description The High Court of Kerala, located in Kochi, is the highest court in the state and plays a central role in the administration of justice and interpretation of law. As a key institution within Indias judicial system, it handles a wide range of civil, criminal, and constitutional matters. The Court is supported by a robust administrative framework that ensures efficient case management and adherence to legal procedures. Professionals working with or for the High Court engage with complex legal issues and contribute to the fair delivery of justice. The environment is formal, structured, and focused on integrity, impartiality, and professional excellence. Role Description The Advocate & Joint Registrar (Retd) role is a full-time, on-site position based in Kanayannur, supporting legal and administrative functions related to High Court proceedings. Day-to-day responsibilities may include advising on legal matters, drafting and reviewing legal documents, petitions, and orders, and supporting case preparation and court submissions. The role involves coordinating with advocates, court staff, and administrative personnel to ensure accurate documentation, proper case scheduling, and adherence to court rules and procedures. The individual may also provide guidance on regulatory compliance, precedents, and best practices, drawing on prior experience in judicial or court administration settings. Maintaining confidentiality, upholding ethical standards, and ensuring timely, accurate work are central to the position. Qualifications Background in law, with substantial experience as an Advocate and prior service in a judicial or High Court administrative role (such as Joint Registrar or equivalent).Strong knowledge of civil, criminal, and constitutional law, as well as court procedures, rules, and documentation standards.Proficiency in legal drafting, interpretation of statutes and case law, and preparation of petitions, affidavits, and orders.Experience in case management, coordination with court staff, and oversight of administrative processes within a legal or judicial environment.High level of integrity, professional ethics, and commitment to confidentiality and impartiality in all legal and administrative activities.Effective communication skills, including clear written and verbal expression in English; familiarity with local languages used in Kerala courts is an advantage.Ability to work full time on-site in Kanayannur, manage multiple matters concurrently, and meet strict deadlines under formal procedural requirements.Retired judicial or senior court administrative officers, or advocates with equivalent senior experience, are strongly encouraged to apply. .
