Job Description Cost Optimization Consultant Location: Pune Duration: 12 Months Contractual Joining: Immediate / Within 1015 Days About the Role We are supporting a leading consulting firm in hiring for a Cost Optimization Consultant for an ongoing transformation engagement with a leading automotive client. The consultant will work closely with consulting teams and client stakeholders to drive cost reduction, operational efficiency, and savings realization initiatives across manufacturing and business operations. Key Responsibilities Conduct cost analysis, benchmarking, and spend assessmentsIdentify cost-saving and productivity improvement opportunitiesSupport zero-based cost reduction and operational efficiency initiativesTrack cost-saving projects, savings realization, and implementation progressPrepare dashboards, governance reports, and stakeholder updatesCoordinate with cross-functional teams, plant operations, procurement, finance, and transformation workstreamsMonitor risks, dependencies, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful execution Required Experience 510 years of experience in cost optimization, cost reduction, operational excellence, manufacturing consulting, or transformation projectsExperience in automotive, auto components, manufacturing, industrial engineering, operations, procurement, or plant cost management is preferredStrong understanding of cost drivers, productivity metrics, efficiency improvement frameworks, and savings trackingAbility to work in a fast-paced consulting and transformation environment with multiple stakeholders Preferred Skills Cost Saving InitiativesZero-Based Costing / Cost CuttingManufacturing Cost OptimizationLean / Six Sigma / Operational ExcellenceProject Governance & ReportingAdvanced Excel / PowerPoint / Dashboard Reporting This role offers an opportunity to work on a large-scale automotive transformation programme focused on cost efficiency, operational excellence, and sustainable business performance improvement in collaboration with consulting teams and senior automotive stakeholders. .
