As the business grows, it seeks skilled contractors who can support continuous operations and help improve productivity and yield. The work environment is practical and hands-on, offering opportunities to deepen technical expertise in modern rice milling technologies. Role Description The Rice Mill Contractor is a full-time, on-site role located in Kolabira, responsible for overseeing and executing daily milling operations. This includes operating and monitoring Milltec and Bhular machinery, managing rice input and output, and ensuring proper cleaning, drying, sorting, and packaging processes. The contractor will perform routine inspections, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment to minimize downtime and prevent defects in production. The role involves coordinating with the mill operator and other team members, following safety and quality standards, maintaining accurate production records, and supporting continuous improvement of milling efficiency. The contractor may also assist with inventory management and supervision of labor during loading, unloading, and warehouse activities. Qualifications Proven experience working in rice mills, including hands-on operation of Milltec and Bhular machinery or similar equipment.Strong understanding of rice processing stages (cleaning, drying, milling, grading, and packaging) and basic mechanical aptitude for equipment checks and minor repairs.Ability to follow safety protocols, quality control procedures, and standard operating instructions reliably and consistently.Good organizational and record-keeping skills, including tracking production volumes, machine performance, and basic inventory data.Capacity to work on-site in Kolabira on a full-time basis, including standing for extended periods and handling physically demanding tasks safely.Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate activities with operators, helpers, and management.Prior experience as a mill contractor or supervisor is an advantage; familiarity with local grain trade practices and regulations is beneficial.Minimum secondary school education or equivalent; vocational training in mechanical or agricultural operations is a plus. .
