Captain for dough house

We are seeking an energetic, organized, and reliable Cafe Captain to oversee daily floor operations and lead our front-of-house service team. In this role, you will ensure seamless table management, maintain high service standards, handle customer feedback, and support the cafe manager in training and mentoring servers and hostesses. Key Responsibilities Oversee floor operations during shifts to ensure efficient seating, quick order taking, and prompt food/beverage delivery.Greet high-profile guests, assist with table reservations, and step in during rush hours to support hostesses and servers.Ensure the front-of-house staff adheres to service protocols, cleanliness standards, and food safety guidelines.Address customer inquiries, special requests, and complaints calmly and professionally to ensure complete guest satisfaction.Train, brief, and guide junior staff and new hires on menu items, POS operation, and service etiquette.Coordinate closely with kitchen and barista teams to maintain smooth communication and speed of service.Perform shift opening and closing checks, cash drawer reconciliations, and inventory tracking for service supplies.Requirements & Qualifications 2 to 4+ years of experience as a senior server, team lead, or captain in a cafe, bakery, or casual dining restaurant.Strong leadership, conflict-resolution, and interpersonal communication skills.In-depth knowledge of cafe service, beverage preparation, and POS system operations.Ability to multitask and maintain composure under pressure during peak business hours.Flexibility to work early mornings, late shifts, weekends, and holidays.Benefits Competitive base salary + performance incentives & tipsFree or discounted meals and beverages during shiftsOpportunities for growth into Cafe ManagementSupportive and dynamic work environmentPay: 25,000.00 - 30,000.00 per month Benefits: Flexible scheduleFood providedHealth insuranceProvident FundWork Location: In person .
