Director (Application Maintenace Support) COMPETENCY LEAD

Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to join our team as a Competency Head. This senior-level position requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in application and infrastructure maintenance, exceptional people skills, stakeholder management, excellent communication abilities, and a hands-on approach. The ideal candidate will be a go-getter with the ability to build consensus and lead cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: Competency Leadership: Lead and manage a high-performance competency team, ensuring the delivery of exceptional services in application and infrastructure maintenance. Define and implement strategic initiatives to enhance competency capabilities and drive continuous improvement. Technical Expertise: Possess hands-on experience in application and infrastructure maintenance, with a deep understanding of industry best practices and emerging technologies. Stay abreast of technological advancements and ensure the competency team is equipped with the latest skills and knowledge. Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external. Collaborate with other departments to align competency goals with overall organizational objectives. People Skills: Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the competency team. Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities to team members. Communication: Communicate effectively with team members, leadership, and external stakeholders. Prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and updates on competency performance and initiatives. Project Management: Oversee the successful execution of projects within the competency, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring the overall success of projects. Consensus Building: Work closely with cross-functional teams to build consensus on strategic initiatives. Drive collaboration and cooperation among different departments and teams. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Overall experience of 15+ years with at least 5 years in leadership role Proven experience in a leadership role, with a focus on application and infrastructure maintenance and support. Strong technical background with hands-on experience in relevant technologies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders. Demonstrated experience in project management and delivering successful outcomes. Ability to inspire and lead a team toward achieving common goals. Proactive and results-oriented, with a track record of taking initiative and driving projects to completion. Candidate should be open to travel within and outside India, as required .
