Job Description Key Responsibilities Credit Underwriting & Decisioning - Lead credit underwriting for the portfolio across the state. - Evaluate complex credit proposals based on financial, business, banking, and bureau assessments. - Approve credit proposals within delegated authority and recommend higher-value cases as per approval matrix. - Ensure adherence to internal credit policies, regulatory guidelines, and risk frameworks. Portfolio Quality & Risk Management - Monitor portfolio health, delinquency trends, and early warning indicators. - Drive initiatives to improve portfolio quality and minimize credit losses. - Analyze default patterns and implement corrective actions. - Ensure robust risk assessment and fraud prevention practices. Business Partnership - Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Legal, Technical, and Credit teams to achieve business objectives. - Balance growth with prudent risk management. - Support product launches, policy implementation, and market expansion initiatives. - Provide guidance on structuring credit proposals for viable business opportunities. Team Leadership - Lead, mentor, and develop the state credit team. - Monitor individual and team performance through defined KPIs. - Conduct regular training on underwriting standards, policy updates, and risk assessment techniques. - Build a high-performance, customer-focused credit team. Policy & Process Governance - Ensure consistent implementation of credit policies across branches. - Recommend policy enhancements based on market feedback and portfolio analysis. - Maintain compliance with audit, regulatory, and internal control requirements. - Drive process improvements to enhance underwriting quality and turnaround time. .
