Job Description - Power BI Developer / BI Developer Skills: Digital: Microsoft Power BI Experience Required: 6-8 Location: Mumbai Job Summary We are looking for a skilled Power BI Developer to understand business requirements, design data models, develop interactive dashboards, and transform raw data into meaningful business insights. The candidate will work extensively with Power BI, DAX, SQL, data warehousing, ETL processes, and business intelligence solutions. Key Responsibilities Understand business requirements in a Business Intelligence (BI) context and translate them into technical solutions. Design and develop efficient data models to convert raw data into meaningful insights. Create interactive and visually appealing Power BI dashboards and reports. Identify business KPIs, define clear objectives, and develop reports to monitor them consistently. Analyze data and present insights through reports that support business decision-making. Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and estimate timelines for implementation. Design, develop, test, and deploy Power BI reports and BI solutions. Write and implement DAX queries, measures, calculated columns, and functions in Power BI. Develop charts, graphs, filters, slicers, and other visualizations to provide a better understanding of business data. Design and maintain relationships, parameters, models, calculations, and business logic within Power BI. Document data models, algorithms, parameters, relationships, calculations, and technical specifications. Participate in data warehouse development and enhancement activities. Write efficient and optimized SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis. Analyze existing ETL processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Define and design new BI/data solutions based on business requirements and existing system analysis. Make technical changes and enhancements to existing BI systems to improve functionality, performance, and usability. Perform detailed data analysis and troubleshoot data/reporting issues. Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, developers, and other technical teams to deliver BI solutions. Essential Skills Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI. Strong knowledge of DAX and Power BI calculations. Good understanding of data modeling and relationships. Strong SQL querying skills. Knowledge of data warehouse concepts, including fact and dimension tables. Understanding of ETL processes and data transformation. Experience developing interactive dashboards, reports, charts, graphs, filters, and KPIs. Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze existing BI/ETL systems and recommend technical improvements. Good documentation and communication skills.
