Job Description The Sourcing Manager will be primarily responsible for developing new and potential vendors, along with streamlining the existing ones. He/she will also be responsible for driving DFM changes to drive down cost and lead times. Drive and execute Annual and Strategic Plan with supporting strategies Lead DFM opportunities with suppliers along with Engineering and Process functions Manage Category and Commodity Strategies including spend analysis, Benchmarking, Cost, Market Analysis and Global Technology / Economic trends Ensure Relationship development and management with key Supplier Leaderships Align with Product management, R&D, Operations, Finance and Quality and other departments Manage Supplier selection, RFQ and RFI process, Negotiation, Contracting and supplier performance processes Ensure Relationship development and management with key Supplier Leaderships Manage Supplier selection, RFQ and RFI process, Negotiation, Contracting and supplier performance processes by maintaining Supplier Scorecards Apply effective Sourcing supplier risk assessment methodologies to ensure supplier continuity Improve Working Capital through Payment Terms extensions, Payment cycle optimization, Vendor Managed Inventories Inventory and Lead time reductions. Manage fixed assets capital procurement by establishing sustainable vendor base and develop a strong and robust Capital equipments expenditure process. Manage Annual spend worth 150 cr INR by creating a sustainable vendor base. Should have developed alternate OEM during the tenure as Sourcing Lead.
