Business Analyst, Insurance Focus (P&C; and Claims) Location: Hinjewadi, Pune, India / Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu / Chennai, India We are seeking a high-performing Business Analyst to contribute to our dynamic team. This role requires 8 - 12 years of industry experience, with a specific focus on property and casualty (P&C;) insurance and claims processing. As a key contributor, you will be responsible for analyzing complex business requirements, driving process improvements, and engaging with cross-functional teams to execute strategic initiatives. Responsibilities: - Collaborate with Product Managers across different teams to consolidate support and enhancement requests tracked as Jira X-Stories. - Partner with stakeholders to fully understand requirements and translate them into clear, detailed functional and non-functional specifications. - Work closely with the Claims processing team's stakeholders to effectively prioritize workload, encompassing both cross-product requests and internal maintenance tasks. - Own and maintain the Jira backlog, ensuring it is current for a rolling 90-day period. - Execute thorough requirements and root cause analysis. - Lead detailed grooming sessions for backlog items in preparation for implementation. - Liaise with the technical team to ensure all solutions align with established business requirements and industry best practices. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field. - 8 to 12 years of experience as a business analyst in the insurance industry, with a strong focus on property and casualty (P&C;) insurance. - Solid understanding of insurance products, business rules, and underwriting processes. - Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects within the insurance and finance domains. - Proficiency in SQL for data analysis, with the ability to derive actionable insights from large datasets. - Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. - Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Qualified (CBAP) or similar credentials are a plus. .
