DATA MANAGER TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS, RESPONSIBILITIES & DATA QUALITY PROCESS

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS The Data Manager will be responsible for continuously monitoring the quality, completeness, accuracy, consistency and availability of all market and financial datasets (realtime as well as historical). The required role is a technically capable Data Quality Manager who can understand the complete data lifecycle, identify exactly where a data gap originated, determine what information needs to be collected, coordinate with the API/development team for the technical fix and independently verify that the final data is correct. The person should have strong knowledge of market data, mutual-fund data, fundamental data, historical data, exchange specifications, raw feeds, databases, data reconciliation and automation. The Data Manager should maintain a daily data-quality report and issue tracker. The Data Manager must set processes to perform a daily data-quality check for missing or incorrect values in above datasets. The processes should involve identification, resolution and recording of the incident on proactive basis. The Data Manager should possess strong knowledge about APIs and their working (RESTful, WebSocket, Dot Net) The Data Manager should have both strong data-analysis skills and sufficient technical knowledge to investigate data issues independently. The Data Manager should have strong knowledge / hands-on experience of managing real-time stock market data (updating every second), Corporate Data (Corporate Announcements, Actions, Financial Results, Ratios, Shareholding Patterns, Promoter's Pledge), Mutual Funds Data (AMC/Scheme Master, NAV, Portfolio Holdings, AUM), exchange feed handlers/parsers, Python or similar scripting, databases, Data reconciliation, Data validation, Data automation. 2. FINAL RESPONSIBILITY The primary responsibility of the Data Manager is to take ownership to ensure that the data delivered to the client is complete, accurate, consistent, timely and traceable from the original source through the final API. .
