Position Title: Manager - Purchase & Supply Chain Management Company: Forsee Power India Location: Chakan, Pune (Plant Location) Experience Required: 14 - 17 Years (with min. 3-4 years in direct team management) Education: B.E. / B.Tech (Mechanical or Electrical) Target Industries: EV Battery, Automobile, Auto Components, Electrical / Electronics Key Responsibilities 1. Purchase & Global ProcurementFormulate and execute purchasing strategies to meet price, quality, and delivery targets. Lead end-to-end domestic and global procurement operations (specifically sourcing cells, electronics, and critical BOM components from regions like China and France). Process RFQs, conduct vendor evaluation, negotiate contract terms, and manage supplier rationalization. Manage Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), supplier consignments, and safety stock levels. 2. Supply Chain & Rapid Ramp-Up OperationsOversee end-to-end SCM and cost-estimation activities to support production capacity scaling (ramp-up from 200 to 3,000+ battery packs). Align material availability with customer demand while optimizing working capital and cash flow. Drive localization projects for imported parts to reduce dependence on international shipments. 3. Import, Customs & Commercial LogisticsManage 3PL partners, freight forwarders, and Custom House Agents (CHA) for seamless customs clearance. Leverage import duty benefit schemes such as IGCRD and Advance License to optimize landed costs. 4. CAPEX & Cost OptimizationNegotiate pricing with suppliers for tooling, BOM parts, and plant CAPEX equipment. Drive cost-saving projects through alternate sourcing, localization, and logistics route/rate optimizations. 5. Material Planning & Warehouse OperationsSupervise MRP-driven raw material (RM) planning (domestic & imported) to maintain 100% material availability. Oversee warehouse management, inventory accuracy, regular audits, and warehouse digitization/automation projects. Coordinate with ERP partners for system implementations and operational enhancements. 6. Team Leadership & GovernanceProvide leadership to direct reports (3-4+ years direct team handling experience).
