Summary: The Sr. Systems Administrator provides specialized and more complex support for the day-to-day management of the Lexitas IT Infrastructure systems (networks, servers, data storage, backups, communications, and related areas). Works with IT Operations for support of user systems and applications in central administrative and office support activities for the entire company. Provides recommendation and advice to IT Leadership regarding Infrastructure and security matters. Responsibility includes both on-prem and cloud Infrastructure. The Sr. Systems Administrator is a member of the administrative support team and is responsible for training and assisting other support staff with network support. Essential Functions: Ensure systems availability and reliability (network, email, all systems servers, backups, etc.)Ensure secure environment provided via network security tools and settings, email security tools and settings, IDS/IDP tools and settings, AV solutions, and related itemsCommunications and messaging solutionsProvides mentorship, skills transfer, and training to team membersAssist in development of Policies and Procedures, change management, performance baselines and security frameworksDesign and modification of advanced Infrastructure systemsAssist in establishing budgeting requirements and forecastingAssist in developing, testing and implementing Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plansSafeguards confidentiality of the medical records and complies with all local, state, and federal laws pertaining to medical records. Assures compliance with all HIPAA regulations concerning use, retrieval, storage and sharing of medical records.Any other duties of similar or lesser nature as required Competencies, Skills and Abilities: Experience with or knowledge of deploying and supporting AWS infrastructure, including EC2, VPCs, RDS, S3, Load Balancers, and related cloud services. Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation is preferred.Experience with or knowledge of AWS security and identity management concepts, including IAM, IAM Identity Center (SSO), Active Directory integrations, role-based access control, and least-privilege security practices.Experience with or knowledge of cloud monitoring, logging, and security tools, including CloudWatch, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, VPC Flow Logs, and other solutions used for performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and security incident investigation.Experience with or knowledge of AWS operational best practices, including environment isolation, high availability, backup and disaster recovery concepts, cost optimization, and supporting development, staging, and production environments.Expertisein Microsoft IT Infrastructure tools and systems,such as: ActiveDirectory, Exchange, Teams, Windows Server, Windows desktop OS, and related itemsExpertisein computer networking and security (including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, Wi-fi,VPN)Knowledgeof Exchange email, and email securityExpertise in systems backup, data security, disaster recoveryExpertisein virtual servers and systemsKnowledge of data center operationsStrong knowledge of cloud-based solutions such as MS Azureand AWSAbilityto analyze complex issuesand articulate solutionsExcellent organizational skillsDeadline-oriented and ability to multi-task Education / Experience Bachelor's degree preferred (computer science or related field also preferred)Five or more years of advanced experience in systems administrationExperience working in a multi-function, multi-geography environment preferredProven experience designing, building, and managing end-to-end processesMust be able to complete complex projects with minimal to no supervisionEffective problem-solving skillsStrong safety record and a history of adhering to safe work practices .
