Hiring: Firmware Leader / Technical Lead Embedded Firmware Location: Hyderabad Experience: 12+ Years Leadership Experience: 3+ Years Domain: Industrial Automation | Functional Safety | Embedded Systems We are looking for an experienced Firmware Leader / Technical Lead to lead embedded firmware development for industrial automation and safety-critical products. Key Responsibilities Lead firmware architecture, design, development, integration, validation & release Own the complete firmware lifecycle from requirements to maintenance Drive coding standards, code reviews, quality metrics and technical governance Mentor and guide firmware engineering teams Communicate with customers and provide project status updates Prepare technical estimates, risk assessments and execution plans Present technical status, risks and mitigation plans to management/customers Collaborate with Hardware, System, Quality, Testing and Project Management teams Support functional safety deliverables, audits and certification activities Must-Have Skills Strong hands-on Embedded C/C++ Firmware architecture, device drivers, BSP & bootloaders MCU/MPU architecture and debugging Industrial automation / PLC / Safety Controller firmware experience IEC 61508 & ISO 13849 exposure SIL/PL concepts and safety lifecycle awareness Static analysis, unit testing, code reviews Verification & Validation / test planning Industrial protocols: EtherCAT, PROFINET, Ethernet/IP, Modbus, CAN/CANopen Good to Have Experience with SIL-certified / safety-critical industrial products TV audits and functional safety assessments FMEA/FMEDA and certification evidence preparation Traceability, regression testing and release readiness Experience working with global customers and distributed engineering teams Education B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Embedded Systems or related engineering disciplines Leadership Expectations Strong technical ownership, decision-making, structured problem-solving, stakeholder communication and team mentoring skills.
