Job Title - Sales Officer / Executive Function - Sales (Purina Pet Foods Division, Nestl India) Location - Cochin About the role This is a field sales role with Purina Pet Foods Division of Nestl India, focused on driving distribution, availability, and visibility across relevant pet channels. You will plan and deliver monthly/annual targets, strengthen trade relationships, execute trade and consumer activations (including visibility/merchandising), participate in pet shows, and engage with veterinary doctors. You will manage distributor operations end-to-end and oversee the secondary sales force to ensure compliant, efficient execution in the assigned area. Job Description (Key Responsibilities) Ensure product availability at all relevant channels within the assigned territory. Plan and achieve monthly and yearly sales targets; identify opportunities and potential in the area. Maintain and enhance trade relations to drive sustainable growth. Execute trade/consumer activations and merchandising (visibility) programs; participate in pet shows and meet veterinary doctors. Be accountable for all operational programs and on-ground execution in the assigned area. Manage distributor operations: ensure compliance, efficiency, and on-time deliveries; monitor overheads and ensure timely payments. Set monthly, quarterly, and yearly targets for distributors; ensure product availability and merchandising in line with plans. Manage the secondary sales force: compliance, trainings, performance evaluations, coordination with distributors, and optimization of expenditure. Qualifications 17 years of experience in a sales role within the Pet segment/industry. Experience in distributor management and secondary sales force oversight, including activations and merchandising. Strong communication skills with poise and confidence; analytical, flexible, resourceful, and innovative. Graduate degree preferred (any discipline).
