Special Needs Learning & Personal Support Assistant (Mild Autism)

Hiring: Special Needs Learning & Personal Support Assistant (Autism) Shadow Teacher / Learning Support Assistant Chandigarh / Mohali Full-Time | 1:1 Support Role | Duration: 36 Months We are seeking a serious, patient, and responsible individual to provide dedicated one-to-one support to a 13-year-old child with autism. This is a short-term intensive engagement (36 months) focused on improving independence, discipline, routine adherence, and consistency across academics, therapies, and daily life. Key Responsibilities * Accompany the child to classes, therapies, counselling, swimming, and other scheduled activities across Chandigarh/Mohali * Manage and ensure adherence to the daily schedule and timely attendance * A car and driver will be provided (no driving required) * Provide one-to-one supervision and support during activities as needed * Assist with homework, schoolwork, revision, and assignments * Reinforce instructions from teachers, therapists, and counsellors in daily routines * Support development of discipline, communication, social interaction, and life skills * Encourage independence while avoiding over-dependence or unnecessary assistance * Manage behavioural challenges with patience, calmness, and consistency * Maintain brief daily notes on activities, progress, and observations * Coordinate with parents and relevant professionals when required Ideal Candidate Preferred background in one or more of the following: * Special Education * Psychology / Child Psychology * Child Development * Occupational Therapy / Behaviour Therapy * Autism / SEN intervention * Shadow Teaching / Learning Support Prior 1:1 experience with children with autism, ADHD, or developmental needs is strongly preferred.
