Senior SAP Implementation Consultant Fixed Term / Contract

Location: Noida Engagement: Contract / Fixed Term 12 Years Experience: 15+ Years in SAP / ERP Implementation Industry: Manufacturing / Engineering / Electronics preferred About the Role We are looking for a highly experienced Senior SAP Implementation Consultant / SAP Advisor to support and guide our organization through its SAP implementation journey. This is a hands-on advisory and implementation leadership role suited for a seasoned SAP professional who has personally led or played a key role in implementing SAP within an organization, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment. The ideal candidate may be a senior/retired SAP professional, former CIO/IT Head, SAP Program Manager, SAP Implementation Head, or experienced SAP consultant who is looking for a meaningful fixed-term consulting assignment. The engagement is expected to be for 12 years, depending on the progress and requirements of the SAP implementation. Key Responsibilities 1. SAP Implementation Leadership Provide end-to-end guidance for the organisation's SAP implementation.Lead and oversee the SAP implementation roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives.Bring practical experience from previous SAP implementation projects and guide the organization on what works and what potential challenges to avoid.Review the implementation approach, timelines, milestones and deliverables.Identify implementation risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies. 2. Business Process & SAP Assessment Understand existing business processes across functions and identify areas for SAP enablement and improvement.Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.Review current processes and recommend opportunities for standardization, automation and process optimization.Ensure that SAP implementation is aligned with actual business requirements rather than unnecessary customization. 3. Vendor / Implementation Partner Management Work closely with the appointed SAP implementation partner/vendor.Review and challenge proposed solutions, configurations and implementation approaches.Monitor implementation partner performance and deliverables.Participate in regular project review meetings and provide independent assessment of project progress.Ensure that timelines, quality and agreed deliverables are achieved. 4. Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management Work closely with leadership and functional heads across Finance, HR, Procurement, Sales, Supply Chain, Production, Inventory, Quality and other relevant functions.Facilitate discussions between business teams and SAP implementation teams.Resolve functional and process-level conflicts during implementation.Act as a bridge between business stakeholders, management and the SAP implementation partner. 5. Testing, Go-Live & Stabilization Provide oversight on UAT planning and execution.Review test scenarios and ensure critical business processes are adequately tested.Support go-live readiness assessment.Identify and address critical gaps before go-live.Provide guidance during go-live and post-go-live stabilization.Support the organization in ensuring smooth adoption of SAP across functions. 6. Knowledge Transfer & Capability Building Transfer knowledge and implementation experience to the internal team.Build internal understanding of SAP processes and governance.Develop appropriate documentation, SOPs and implementation guidelines.Mentor internal stakeholders and help establish sustainable SAP ownership within the organization. Required Experience & Skills 15+ years of overall experience in SAP/ERP implementation, consulting or technology leadership.Proven experience in end-to-end SAP implementation in an organization.Candidates who have personally led at least one complete SAP implementation / transformation project will be preferred.Strong understanding of business processes and SAP integration across functions.Experience working with SAP implementation partners/system integrators.Strong project governance and stakeholder management capabilities.Ability to independently assess SAP implementation strategy, risks, timelines and deliverables.Strong understanding of manufacturing/engineering business processes will be highly preferred.Excellent communication and influencing skills.Ability to work with senior management as well as functional and technical teams.
