Role OverviewThe Associate Data Scientist is an entry-level role supporting data science initiatives across Amgens portfolio. This role will work closely with Data Science Leads and senior team members to contribute to analytics, modeling, and insight generation, while building strong foundations in applied data science. Live | What you will doSupport analytics and data science projects across commercial use cases in the Gen Med portfolioAssist in data preparation, exploratory analysis, and feature engineering to enable modeling effortsContribute to development and testing of predictive models and analytical frameworks under guidance of senior data scientistsPerform metric tracking, performance analysis, and validation checks with high attention to detailSupport creation of insight summaries, visualizations, and presentations for business stakeholdersMaintain and update code, dashboards, and analytical assets in Python/SQL environmentsFollow best practices for documentation, QA, and reproducibilityCollaborate with team members to meet project timelines and communicate progress effectivelyEngage in continuous learning across predictive modeling, experimentation, and commercial analytics methodsThrive | What you can expectStructured learning and hands-on experience in commercial data science applicationsExposure to end-to-end analytics delivery across brands and use casesMentorship from experienced data scientists and opportunities to grow into independent contributorsA collaborative environment focused on learning, impact, and developmentBasic QualificationsBachelors or Masters degree in Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field3 years of experience in analytics, data science, or related rolesWorking knowledge of Python and SQLStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving skillsAttention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality, accurate workPreferred QualificationsExposure to predictive modeling, experimentation, or statistical analysisFamiliarity with commercial analytics or marketing performance measurementInterest in healthcare, pharma, or life sciences analyticsExperience with tools such as Jupyter notebooks, Git, or data visualization platformsAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholdersStrong communication skills and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment .
