Internally at NZTE we call this role Workflow Automation Developer. This role could be located at either Auckland or Wellington office At NZTE, our purpose is to grow companies internationally, bigger, better, faster, for the good of New Zealand. Were looking for a Workflow & Automation Specialist to help us improve how work gets done across NZTE by designing, supporting and enhancing workflow and automation solutions, with a strong focus on ServiceNow and our grants management platform. This role would suit someone who enjoys solving business problems, improving user experience and turning stakeholder needs into practical technology solutions. What you'll be doing Working as part of our collaborative Digital & Data team, youll support and enhance our ServiceNow platform and grants management systems, helping streamline processes, resolve issues and deliver practical improvements that make work simpler, smarter and more connected for our people. Key responsibilities include: Configure, develop and maintain ServiceNow workflows and platform capabilities. Support NZTEs grants platform, including workflow improvements, issue resolution and vendor engagement. Investigate and resolve support tickets, platform issues, integrations, upgrades and testing. Scope, design and implement workflow and automation improvements with input from stakeholders. Ensure platform changes consider security, data quality, risk and user experience. What we're looking for Were looking for someone curious, proactive and customer-focused, with the technical confidence to work across platforms and the relationship skills to partner effectively with stakeholders, vendors and teams across NZTE. Ideally, you'll bring: At least 3 years experience with ServiceNow in an Administrator, Developer, Platform Specialist or similar role. ServiceNow certification, ideally Certified System Administrator, or a willingness to achieve this within your first 12 months at NZTE. Experience configuring, supporting and improving workflow, low-code or no-code platforms. Exposure to Microsoft Power Platform, Power Automate, SaaS applications, integrations or cloud-based platforms. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication and stakeholder engagement skills. A continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on creating practical solutions and improving user experience.
