QA DevOps Engineer Position Value Proposition The QA DevOps Engineer is responsible for owning all Quality Assurance activities across supported applications while partnering with the DevSecOps Specialist to design, integrate, and improve DevOps practices. This role combines hands-on QA execution with DevOps support for CI/CD, automated testing, and quality/security gates. In many cases, the QA DevOps Engineer will lead the initial design and implementation of CI/CD test workflows and QA automation, then transfer knowledge and day-to-day ownership to the DevSecOps Specialist for shared, long-term administration, governance, and KPI reporting. The engineer is expected to operate with moderate technical autonomy-researching options, prototyping solutions, and then collaborating with senior team members for validation and implementation. Core Responsibilities A. Quality Assurance Ownership ( 50%) - Partner with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and development teams to clarify requirements, define testable acceptance criteria, and maintain open communication channels. - Create, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test data for integration, system, regression, and UAT testing across all supported systems (e.g., SES, JMS, Visualizer, commercial platforms). - Design, build, and extend automated test frameworks (e.g., Selenium/TestNG or similar), ensuring tests are reusable, maintainable, and CI/CD-friendly. - Maintain and update QA documentation, runbooks, and procedures, aligning them with DevSecOps playbooks and audit requirements. B. DevOps Pipeline Support ( 50%) - Lead the initial design and implementation of CI/CD pipeline test workflows (including build, test, and deployment stages) for supported systems, then execute structured knowledge transfer so the DevSecOps Specialist can assume long-term administration and governance. - Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines by collaborating with the DevSecOps Specialist on buil .
