Role Description The Marine Logistics Coordinator is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The role involves planning and coordinating the movement of marine cargo, including scheduling shipments, liaising with shipping lines, port authorities, and vendors, and tracking cargo status from origin to destination. The coordinator will manage documentation such as bills of lading, customs and port paperwork, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company standards. Daily tasks include monitoring cargo movement, updating internal systems, preparing status reports, and resolving operational issues to minimize delays. The role also requires responding to customer inquiries, providing shipment updates, and working closely with internal teams to optimize logistics processes and support overall supply chain performance. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret logistics data, monitor shipment performance, and support problem-solving in dynamic marine operations.Candidates should possess effective Communication abilities to coordinate with customers, shipping partners, port authorities, and internal teams, both verbally and in writing.Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to handle client queries, provide timely updates, and maintain professional relationships focused on reliability and satisfaction.Candidates should possess Inventory Management capabilities to track stock related to marine cargo, manage records, and ensure accurate documentation of goods in transit and at port.Candidates should possess Supply Chain Management knowledge to understand end-to-end logistics flows, optimize routing, and support efficient coordination between sea, port, and inland transport.Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Maritime Studies, or a related field are beneficial.Prior experience in marine or port logistics, freight forwarding, or shipping operations is an advantage.Proficiency in MS Office and logistics/ERP software, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a time-sensitive environment are preferred. .
