Purchase Manager with leading manufacturing Co In Pune- Hybrid

Key Responsibilities Procurement & Purchasing Plan and procure materials, components, equipment and services required for manufacturing. Issue Purchase Orders and monitor supplier performance. Negotiate pricing, commercial terms and delivery schedules. Manage supplier relationships and purchasing records. Monitor inventory and ensure timely material availability. Coordinate with Engineering and Production for new product introductions and engineering changes. Import & Logistics Coordinate import shipments from China and other international suppliers. Work with freight forwarders, customs brokers and transportation providers. Manage import documentation and ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Track shipments and resolve logistics issues that could impact production. Monitor inbound/outbound freight costs and identify cost-saving opportunities. Supplier Development & Localization Identify opportunities to source components from qualified Indian suppliers. Evaluate supplier capabilities based on quality, manufacturing capacity, cost and delivery performance. Coordinate supplier audits and qualification activities with Engineering and Quality. Develop long-term supplier relationships. Lead supplier localization, cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives. Inventory Management Maintain optimum inventory levels while minimizing excess inventory. Establish reorder points and safety stock levels. Coordinate with Production Planning and Warehouse teams. Monitor inventory accuracy and support inventory control processes. Compliance & Reporting Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and procedures. Maintain supplier agreements, purchasing records and logistics documentation. Track and report purchasing, supplier and logistics KPIs. Support internal and external audits related to purchasing and supply chain. .
