The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience underwriting Conventional and Non-QM mortgage loans, with a strong understanding of mortgage lending guidelines, risk assessment, income analysis, and regulatory compliance. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make sound underwriting decisions while maintaining service-level commitments in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Loan Underwriting & Risk Assessment - Review and underwrite residential mortgage loan applications. - Evaluate Conventional, Non-QM, and DSCR mortgage products. - Assess borrower eligibility through detailed analysis of income, assets, credit history, employment, and property-related documentation. - Perform risk assessments and determine loan eligibility in accordance with investor and regulatory requirements. Income Analysis - Analyze various income documentation types, including: - W-2 and salaried income - Self-employed borrower income - Bank statement programs - Asset depletion programs - 1099 income - ITIN loans - Profit & Loss (P&L;) only programs - Verify income stability and repayment capacity. Compliance & Quality - Ensure adherence to agency, investor, company, and regulatory guidelines. - Review documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance. - Support quality control and audit requirements. - Maintain accurate underwriting records and decision document .
