Role Description The Bookkeeping Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for overseeing day-to-day bookkeeping operations for multiple client accounts. This role includes managing accounts payable and receivable, supervising reconciliations, monitoring general ledger postings, and ensuring timely month-end and year-end close processes. The Bookkeeping Manager will lead and mentor a team of bookkeeping professionals, review work for accuracy and compliance with client requirements and internal quality standards, and coordinate with client stakeholders to resolve queries and provide financial insights. The role also involves implementing process improvements, supporting automation initiatives, maintaining strong internal controls, and preparing management reports and documentation as needed. Qualifications Strong bookkeeping and accounting skills, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger management.Experience supervising or managing finance or bookkeeping teams, with the ability to provide coaching, feedback, and performance management.Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, as well as advanced MS Excel skills for reporting and analysis.Solid understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and compliance standards relevant to bookkeeping operations.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on accuracy and timeliness.Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams.Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CPA, CMA) are an advantage.Prior experience in shared services, BPO, or outsourced finance environments is preferred, especially in handling multiple client portfolios. .
