Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Surgery Cardiology Medical Coder role based in the Greater Delhi Area. The Medical Coder will review clinical documentation for cardiology and surgical procedures, assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes, and ensure accuracy in charge capture and billing. The role involves validating codes against payer policies, supporting appeals for denied or underpaid claims, and collaborating with clinical and revenue cycle teams to improve documentation quality. The Medical Coder will help maintain compliance with regulatory and payer requirements, contribute to process improvements in coding workflows, and support Ankas AI-driven revenue cycle solutions with high-quality coded data. Qualifications Strong knowledge of surgery and cardiology coding, including ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS, with experience interpreting operative reports and cardiology-specific documentation.Experience in medical billing and revenue cycle processes, including denial management, underpayment review, and accounts receivable follow-up.Understanding of payer rules, medical necessity requirements, and compliance standards such as HIPAA and relevant coding guidelines.Ability to perform detailed chart review, identify documentation gaps, and communicate with clinicians to clarify and improve records.Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR), practice management systems, and coding/billing software.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume environments.Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams on-site.Relevant certification such as CPC, CCS, or equivalent, and prior experience in cardiology or surgical coding; hospital or multi-specialty experience is an advantage. .
