Manufacturing Quality Assurance Executive

Position: Quality Control (QC) Executive Department: Quality Control / Production Industry: Prefabricated Structural Building Manufacturing Location: Oragadam, Chennai Employment Type: Full-time Salary: 17,000 20,000 per month Experience: Freshers & Experienced candidates Joining: Immediate Joiners Preferred Job Purpose To ensure that prefabricated structural building components are manufactured as per approved drawings, specifications, dimensions and required quality standards. The role will involve regular inspection of raw materials, fabrication processes and finished products at the manufacturing unit. Key Responsibilities Inspect incoming raw materials such as steel sections, sheets, panels, fasteners and other components. Conduct stage-wise quality inspection during cutting, drilling, welding, fabrication, assembly and finishing. Check dimensions, alignment, levels and workmanship as per approved drawings and specifications. Read and understand structural/fabrication drawings and identify deviations. Inspect welding quality, joints, bolts, frames and structural components. Check finished products before dispatch to ensure they meet required quality standards. Identify defects, non-conformities and deviations and report them to the Production/Quality Manager. Coordinate with the production team to rectify quality issues. Maintain inspection checklists, quality reports and other QC documentation. Assist in maintaining measurement and inspection records. Ensure measuring instruments are used properly and maintained. Support continuous improvement in manufacturing quality and reduction of rework/rejection. Follow company safety and quality procedures inside the manufacturing unit. Qualification Diploma / B.E. in Civil or Mechanical Engineering Freshers can apply. Candidates with experience in fabrication, PEB, structural steel, prefabricated buildings, or manufacturing QC will be preferred. Required Skills Basic knowledge of fabrication and structural components Ability to read engineering/fabrication drawings Basic knowledge of measurements and inspection tools Good observation and attention to detail Basic knowledge of MS Excel and Word Good communication and coordination skills Willingness to work on the manufacturing shop floor Ability to identify defects and follow up for corrective action Candidate Profile Freshers or experienced candidates Immediate joiners preferred Candidates residing in or around Oragadam, Sriperumbudur, and nearby areas preferred. Should be willing to work at the manufacturing unit in Oragadam. Accommodation provided for outstation candidates.
