Manager - Claims Management Location: Chennai, with travel to project sites as required Experience: 10+ years Role Overview: The Claims Manager will be responsible for managing contractual and commercial claims arising during the execution of EPC and renewable-energy projects. The role will focus on safeguarding contractual entitlements, minimising commercial exposure and ensuring timely resolution of claims and disputes. Key Responsibilities: - Review EPC contracts to identify contractual obligations, claim opportunities and commercial risks. - Prepare and manage Extension of Time claims, variation orders, change orders and additional-scope claims. - Handle delay, disruption, acceleration, prolongation, productivity-loss and cost-escalation claims. - Ensure compliance with contractual notices, claim timelines and documentation requirements. - Conduct delay and critical-path analysis using Primavera P6 or MS Project. - Quantify the cost impact of claims and support commercial negotiations and settlements. - Maintain claim registers, contractual correspondence and supporting documentation. - Coordinate with Project, Planning, Commercial, Legal, Procurement and Finance teams. - Support arbitration, mediation and other dispute-resolution processes. - Provide regular MIS reports on claims, recoveries, variations and commercial risks. Candidate Profile: - B.E./B.Tech in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or a related engineering discipline. - Minimum 10 years of experience in claims management, contracts, commercial management or project controls. - Strong experience in EPC, infrastructure, power, renewable energy, transmission, substation or industrial projects. - Sound knowledge of EPC and FIDIC contracts, EOT claims, variation management and delay analysis. - Proficiency in Primavera P6 or MS Project. - Solid commercial acumen, negotiation, analytical and stakeholder-management skills. - MBA/PGDM or certification in FIDIC, contracts, arbitration or claims management .
