Role Description The Collection Agent role at SHWETA CONSULTANCY LIMITED is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The Collection Agent is responsible for contacting customers regarding outstanding payments, negotiating repayment plans, and ensuring timely cash collection in line with company policies and regulatory guidelines. Day-to-day activities include making outbound and receiving inbound calls, maintaining accurate records of interactions, updating account status, and escalating complex cases when needed. The role involves collaborating with finance and customer service teams to resolve payment issues, respond to inquiries, and support a positive customer experience while meeting collection targets. The Collection Agent is expected to adhere to ethical practices, maintain confidentiality, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the collection process. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Debt Collection and Cash Collection skills, with the ability to negotiate and manage overdue accounts effectively. Candidates should possess excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to interact professionally with customers and internal teams. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of Finance principles relevant to collections, billing, and payment processing. Candidates should possess good analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and accuracy in record-keeping. Candidates should possess proficiency in basic computer applications and CRM or collection software, along with the ability to learn new systems quickly. Candidates should possess the ability to work in a target-driven environment, manage time effectively, and handle high call volumes. Relevant experience in collections, customer support, or finance operations is preferred; a diploma or degree in commerce, business, or a related field is an advantage. .
