Financial Operations and Compliance Lead

About Company The company operates in the power electronics and railway transportation equipment industry, designing and manufacturing advanced electrical solutions for industrial and infrastructure applications. Job Description Responsibilities: The GM Finance & Accounts will be responsible for managing the complete finance and accounts function of the organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. The role will oversee financial accounting, consolidation, taxation, corporate finance, forex risk management, and support strategic financial decision-making across Indian and international operations. A. Financial Accounting & Finalization - Handle complete accounts independently, including monthly, quarterly, and annual closing - Finalize standalone and consolidated financial statements in compliance with Ind AS and IFRS - Manage consolidation of Indian and foreign subsidiaries, including step-down subsidiaries - Ensure accurate accounting, disclosures, and reporting as per statutory requirements B. Audit & Compliance - Lead statutory, internal, tax, cost, and other audits - Coordinate with auditors and ensure timely closure of audit observations - Ensure compliance with Companies Act, SEBI regulations, FEMA, RBI, and other applicable laws - Support compliance requirements for listed entities C. Taxation - Oversee direct and indirect taxation, including income tax, GST, transfer pricing, and international taxation - Ensure timely filing of returns, assessments, and resolution of tax matters - Liaise with tax consultants and authorities as required D. Corporate Finance & Treasury - Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, and fund utilization - Support fundraising activities, if required (term loans, working capital, etc.) - Oversee cash flow management, budgeting, and forecasting - Monitor and manage forex exposure and hedging strategies E. Costing & Inventory Accounting - Oversee product costing, inventory valuation, and margin analysis - Ensure strong controls over inventory accounting and reconciliation - Support management with cost optimization and variance analysis F. Financial Planning & Management Reporting - Prepare MIS, financial analysis, and management reports - Support strategic decision-making with accurate financial insights - Work closely with business heads to improve financial performance G. Team Leadership & Process Improvement - Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team - Strengthen internal controls, systems, and processes - Drive automation and process efficiency initiatives within finance Experience: - CA with 1520 years of progressive experience in Finance & Accounts, preferably in a listed manufacturing / engineering / EPC / PSU linked organization - Strong exposure to handling end-to-end finance and accounts independently, including finalization of accounts - Proven experience in Ind AS and IFRS, including consolidation of Indian and foreign subsidiaries, including step-down subsidiaries - Hands-on experience in corporate finance, forex exposure, taxation, and regulatory compliance - Exposure to costing and inventory accounting will be a strong added advantage - Experience in dealing with auditors, bankers, statutory authorities, and senior management .
