JOB DESCRIPTION TEMPLATEPosition Title: Fund Accounting Role Description: The performance of Fund Accounting related activities. Evaluates and reconciles complex funds including mutual, commingled, and collective for production of client month-end reports or for daily valuation. Verifies complex transactions, audits income reports within scheduled timeframes and resolves exceptions on a daily basis for fund accounts Core Skills & Competencies Required: Strong subject matter expertise/ knowledge of NT businessDemonstrate through examples /evidence strong operations knowledge including secondary review & controls, risks & mitigationDemonstrate through examples /evidence excellent written and verbal language skills, ability to independently address technical & non-technical issues, knowledge share / training sessions conducted , proactively troubleshoot and manage escalations, and work with global teamsDemonstrate through examples /evidence analytical ability, problem solving, day-to-day task management and escalation of issuesWorking knowledge of Excel including macros/automations within the processSustainable performance demonstrated through examples/evidence, the above listed core skills and competencies in the current role over a period of at least 24 monthsPartner should be flexible to work in any of the three locations (Manyata, GVT & Pune).Major Duties / Key Responsibilities: To have a thorough understanding of the theoretical and technical nature of fund accounting and administrationPerforming quality assurance checks on information received internally from other supporting functionsWorking closely with home locations to resolve queriesTo create, maintain and update procedures for your fundsEnsuring that you comply with all controls and procedures outlined in the procedures manual and general company policiesReviewing and signing off on NAV files of other team membersWorking closely with the Team Leader and Section Managers for on-boarding new transitions from home locationsEnsure all scheduled work is completed by agreed deadlines, checklists are signed and files contain all requiredTo identify efficiencies and areas for improvement to reduce risk and become more efficientEnsuring that technology available is being fully utilized in the most efficient mannerTo ensure full and proper reporting to the manager of any operational issuesWhere delays are expected to flag any service delivery issues as early as possibleOngoing review of daily controls and communications of any new ideas or suggested procedural changesTo assist with training and coaching new team members as the group growsYears of exp: 2-4 years Flexible with Shifts Working with Us As a Northern Trust partner, you will be part of a flexible and collaborative work culture, which has a strong history of financial strength and stability.
