JOB DESCRIPTION Client_ A MNC IPP in the Wind Energy sector. Role: Solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Designation: Senior Design Engineer_will lead the design, planning, and engineering of utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects. Reporting to: Head Engineering Responsibilities 1-Electrical Network Design & Engineering Design and optimize utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems. Conduct electrical BoP design including cable sizing, routing, protection systems, grounding, and interconnection facilities. 2-Plant Estimation Design & Engineering Estimate land requirements and resources for solar power plants on a per-MW basis. Specify and design solar transformers and inverters for various plant capacities. Conduct detailed Energy Yield Analysis (EYA) using tools such as PVsyst, Helioscope, or similar 3-Cross functional team Coordination Collaborate with civil, structural, and mechanical teams for integrated plant design. Prepare technical documentation and support permitting processes. Provide technical support during procurement, construction, and commissioning phases. Lead design reviews and mentor site and AO team for performance improvement. 4-Grid & Regulatory Ensure full compliance with national and local grid codes, renewable energy regulations, and environmental standards. Coordinate with authorities and utilities for grid interconnection studies, impact analysis, and regulatory submissions. Minimize regulatory approval time. Finalization of input and coordination with 3rd party to perform the study. 5-Monitoring & Reporting Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, enhancing soft skills Proactive foreseeing on the impacts with various change in laws and regulations happening timely. Study and update the regulatory changes to stakeholders. Qualification: B Tech. (Electrical & Electronics) Experience: 7 to 10 years Required Skills Well versed with MS Office & MS Projects. Stakeholder management Ability to assess financial and technical feasibility of solar and BESS projects. Knowledge of Grid code compliance and other regulatory. .
