JOB DESCRIPTION: Event Mood Board Designer Weddings Company: Iksha Industry: Weddings & Events Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka Employment Type: Full-Time Experience: 13 Years Iksha is a wedding and event company focused on creating thoughtfully designed and visually distinctive wedding experiences. From intimate celebrations to large-scale weddings, our work brings together creativity, styling, dcor, design, and execution to create memorable experiences for our clients. We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Event Mood Board Designer who can transform a client's ideas, personality, preferences, and wedding vision into compelling visual concepts and mood boards. About the RoleThe Event Mood Board Designer will be responsible for developing creative concepts and visual mood boards for weddings and related events. The ideal candidate should have a strong eye for aesthetics, colour, styling, dcor, textures, materials, and visual storytelling. They should be able to understand a client's requirements and translate them into a clear creative direction that can be communicated to the dcor, production, and execution teams. The candidate should be passionate about wedding design, fashion, dcor, art, architecture, styling, and emerging design trends. - Key Responsibilities1. Wedding Concept DevelopmentUnderstand the client's wedding vision, preferences, personality, requirements, and budget. - Develop creative concepts for different wedding functions such as: - - Engagements - Mehendi - Haldi - Sangeet - Cocktail - Wedding ceremony - Reception - Other pre-wedding and wedding celebrations - Develop unique concepts that are visually cohesive across different functions. - Translate creative ideas into practical and executable event concepts. - 2. Mood Board CreationCreate detailed and visually appealing mood boards for wedding events. - Develop mood boards covering: - - Theme and concept - Colour palette - Dcor - Floral styling - Furniture - Lighting - Stage and backdrop concepts - Table styling - Signage and stationery - Props and accessories - Textures and materials - Guest experience elements - Curate appropriate visual references from various sources to communicate the overall design direction. - 3. Design & StylingDevelop colour palettes and visual themes based on the client's requirements. - Research and suggest dcor elements, fabrics, flowers, materials, furniture, lighting, props, and styling elements. - Ensure that all design elements work together to create a cohesive visual experience. - Stay updated with the latest wedding, fashion, dcor, hospitality, and lifestyle trends. - 4. Client & Internal CoordinationWork closely with the creative, wedding planning, production, and dcor teams. - Understand feedback from clients and incorporate revisions into concepts and mood boards. - Present creative concepts clearly to internal teams and clients when required. - Coordinate with vendors and designers when references, samples, or specifications are required. - Ensure that the approved concept is clearly communicated to the execution team. - 5. Event-Specific DesignCreate individual design directions for different wedding functions while maintaining an overall wedding identity. - Develop concepts according to the venue, season, cultural requirements, guest profile, and client's preferences. - Consider the practicality, scale, venue limitations, and execution requirements while developing concepts. - 6. Research & InspirationContinuously research: - - Global wedding trends - Indian wedding trends - Fashion and textile trends - Dcor and floral trends - Luxury hospitality - Architecture and interiors - Art and design - Colour trends - Build and maintain a strong library of visual references and creative inspiration. - Identify new ideas and design elements that can differentiate Iksha's wedding experiences. - 7. Design DocumentationPrepare clear and organised presentations and mood boards for client approvals. - Maintain design references, material references, colour palettes, and approved concepts. - Make revisions based on client and management feedback. - Ensure that final approved concepts are properly documented for execution. - RequirementsBachelor's degree or diploma in Fashion Design, Interior Design, Event Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, Textile Design, Graphic Design, or a related creative field. - 13 years of relevant experience in event design, wedding design, styling, interior design, fashion, visual merchandising, or a similar creative role. - Strong understanding of colour, composition, styling, textures, materials, and visual aesthetics. - Excellent visual communication and presentation skills. - Strong creative thinking and attention to detail. - Good understanding of wedding dcor and event styling. - Ability to convert an abstract idea or client requirement into a transparent visual concept. - Proficiency in Canva, PowerPoint, Photoshop .
