Role OverviewWe are seeking a Software Engineer to lead solution-level testing efforts, architect end-to-end test automation suites, and validate integrated cloud/on-prem networking workflows. In this role, you will combine strong software coding skills, deep networking domain knowledge, and GenAI capabilities to drive scalable, automated quality engineering for the Cisco IQ platform. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement robust, maintainable E2E UI, API, and integration test automation frameworks from scratch.Lead test planning, scenario modeling, and complex defect triage for integrated solutions involving Cisco hardware, cloud services (AWS), and web portals.Embed AI [agentic, no-code AI tools, LLM-assisted generation] into test automation pipelines to generate script coverage, maintain test artifacts, and accelerate regression runs.Simulate real-world enterprise network topologies to test L2/L3 protocol behaviors, data fabric pipelines, and controller/controller-less network flows.Drive CI/CD quality gate integration, defect governance, and technical mentoring for mid-level software test engineers. Required Qualifications (Mandatory) Strong knowledge in testing and testing methodologiesAdvanced programming skills in Python or Java for custom framework building, module development, and backend validation.Deep hands-on proficiency in UI automation (Selenium/Playwright/Cypress) and API automation frameworks (REST Assured/PyTest).Demonstrated practical application of AI [LLM developer tools, agentic no-code approach es] for intelligent test scripting and maintenance.Strong expertise in enterprise networking concepts (routing/switching, CCNA/CCNP level), packet analysis (Wireshark), and network controller flows.7+ years in Quality Engineering, with expertise in Linux/Unix internals, AWS cloud services, Docker/Kubernetes, and Splunk log analysis. Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
