Overview Position Purpose: This is a technology individual contributor role within the Global Market Data Department at StoneX. This role will actively collaborate with other technology leads and data quality team for delivery of ongoing data projects. As a contributing data engineer the focus will be on both data engineering, improving data quality and support for Market Data Products through engineering and automation. Responsibilities Primary Accountabilities/Responsibilities: Contribute to the team deliverable within define project scope with attention to detail for both data and technical aspects. Understands system protocols, how systems operate and data flows. Aware of current and emerging technology tools and their benefits. Understands the building blocks, interactions, dependencies, and tools required to complete data transformation, data storage and data distribution. Strong focus on data quality, contributes to designs to implement data pipelines for data engineering and data quaity automation. Ability to understand capital market business problems, study and transform data as needed. Contribute toward improving data quality, testing automation and monitoring of StoneX strategic data assets. Contribute towards improving production support of market data products through automation. Qualifications Job Requirements: 3+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering and/or Production Support across large enterprises. 3 years of hands on Data Engineering or Data Quality Autmation experience in capital markets / Market Data / trading industry. Understanding of Enterprise architecture patterns, Object Oriented & Service Oriented principles, design patterns, industry best practices. Positive understanding of SQL, ability to write complex SQL queries to investigate and resolve data quality issues and facilitate data extraction. Experience with databricks desired. Experience with cloud technology desired. Experience with one or more languages C++, Python, Java, C#. Knowledge in database technology like MSSQL or Postgres or MySQL and one of key value and document databases like MongoDB, DynamoDB, Casandra Excellent oral and written communications skills to follow direction and articulate problems and potential solution with other team members. Ability to work in an Agile methodology workplace Robust focus on data quality and automation. .
