About the Role Our client, a prominent financial institution based in the vibrant city of Kolkata, West Bengal , is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to bolster its security operations center (SOC). This critical role involves protecting the organization's digital assets from evolving cyber threats. You will be responsible for monitoring security alerts, investigating incidents, implementing proactive security measures, and contributing to the overall security strategy. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat intelligence, incident response, and various security technologies. Key Responsibilities Monitor security systems (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls) for potential threats and anomalies. Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and recommend remediation actions. Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and guidelines. Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing. Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and best practices. Manage and maintain security tools and technologies. Respond to and manage security breaches and incidents according to established protocols. Collaborate with IT and business units to ensure security requirements are met. Provide security awareness training to employees. Participate in security audits and compliance activities. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on security analysis and incident response. In-depth knowledge of network security, operating system security, and application security. Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar), IDS/IPS, and firewall management. Experience with vulnerability assessment tools and penetration testing methodologies. Understanding of threat intelligence sources and analysis techniques. Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001). Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are highly preferred. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills. Strong communication and reporting skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage critical incidents effectively.
