The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing and leading the full development process from ideation to production. During the development process, you will ensure that our products are meeting all necessary specifications and incorporating all design specifications. Applicant must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing industry and must be good at AUTOCAD & CREO (2D & 3D modelling). Applicant must have good knowledge in sheet metal processes especially Sheet Metal Stamping, Bending, Forming, Welding and related post processes. Applicant must have good Activity based costing principles used in manufacturing industry. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Process Development Engineering:Handle the entire spectrum of development activity from the time of getting the RFQ from the customer to the point where production hand-off is done.Collaborate on new product development projects, ensuring alignment with design and manufacturing teams.Conduct research programs to explore innovative solutions.Apply expertise in product design, fabrication, assembly, and materials selection.Ensure our designs meet manufacturing, technical and customer requirements and standards.Complete APQP Analysis & DocumentationPreparing documents such as CP, PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, MSA, PSW.Manufacturing Process Optimization:Evaluate and enhance existing manufacturing processes for quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.Preparation of the BOM and Approximate Costing for the component.Optimize Stamping, forming, and related tooling.Lead design for manufacturability efforts.Communication and Leadership:Facilitate clear communication between cross-functional teams.Identify and implement corrective actions to address manufacturing process challenges.Foster a culture of continuous improvement.Manage multiple complex projects at the same time.Ensure that all projects are completed within budget and time.Ensuring that the necessary optimizations are performed at each stage to ensure maximum yield in terms of 3M. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
