Lead Penetration Tester

About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced and authoritative Lead Penetration Tester to spearhead their offensive security initiatives. This critical role, based in Gurugram, Haryana , will involve leading a team of security professionals in identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities within our client's extensive network infrastructure and applications. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and reporting on complex penetration tests, providing actionable insights to enhance the organization's security defenses. This is an on-site position, fostering close collaboration and hands-on engagement with the security operations center and development teams. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage penetration testing engagements, including scope definition, execution, and reporting. Perform in-depth vulnerability assessments and exploitation of network infrastructure, web applications, and mobile applications. Develop custom scripts and tools to aid in penetration testing activities. Analyze test results and provide detailed, actionable recommendations for remediation. Mentor and guide junior penetration testers, fostering their technical growth. Stay abreast of the latest attack vectors, exploits, and security vulnerabilities. Develop and maintain penetration testing methodologies and playbooks. Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure timely remediation of identified vulnerabilities. Present findings and recommendations to senior management and technical stakeholders. Conduct social engineering tests and physical security assessments as required. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in penetration testing and offensive security. Demonstrated expertise in exploiting a wide range of vulnerabilities across various platforms and applications. Proficiency in using penetration testing tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, Nessus, and Wireshark. Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and web application security. Experience in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation. Excellent reporting and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical findings to diverse audiences. Relevant certifications such as OSCP, CEH, CISSP, or GPEN are highly desirable. Experience in leading a security team or technical projects.
