Responsibilities Execute benchmarks to identify hotspots/bottlenecks in the Developer Experience & zOS stack implementation Evaluate the performance across the IBM zSW and middleware products Suggest and implement platform specific changes/improvements using prototypes as proof points Define performance scenarios, test cases/suites, parameters and targets to accomplish as a team Identify and suggest tools, utilities, benchmarks and methodologies to evaluate the performance and fine tune the product Contribute to performance analysis and study by executing benchmarks and collecting various performance measurements and metrics Collaborate with relevant stakeholders including research, development, sales, offering, marketing teams to ensure product is highlighted by showcasing performance collaterals Work with peer Product Owners, Architects, and Managers to project the status of the tasks at hand as well as propose any implementation changes beneficial to the overall product Requirements 10+ years of experience as Performance engineer in working with Middle and Software Applications. 8+ years of experience with Performance test, analysis, tuning, optimization and associated performance tools and utilities 5+ years of experience in performance analysis and problem determination, quick prototyping and iterative experimentation Proven experience in measuring performance of Frontend, Middleware and AI products. Excellent programming in Typescript, Javascript, Java, Python (Familiar with PL/X would be advantageous) Ability to write/modifying Shell Programs - Bash, KSH, CSH. Experience working with install/Build scripts, Makefiles Proficient with Linux/Unix development environment (command line development, configuration, libraries,.etc). 5+ years of experience as a technical lead to translate requirements into work items (stories). Strong Linux system administration (Linux/Unix fundamentals, administration experience.) Strong analytical, debugging and problem solving skills to analyse issues and defects reported by customer-facing and test teams.
