About Position: We are seeking a Video Streaming Support Engineer (L2 Support) to provide second-line support for IBM Video Streaming (Watson Media) platforms supporting live and on-demand video services. The role involves ensuring seamless delivery of live events, troubleshooting streaming and playback issues, managing secure content access, and supporting event-day operations. You will work closely with internal teams, customers, and third-party vendors to maintain high platform availability and exceptional user experience across live broadcasts and VOD content. Role: Video Streaming Support EngineerLocation: Pune, BangaloreExperience: 4 to 8 YearsJob Type: Full-Time Employment What You'll Do: Provide L2 support for IBM Video Streaming (Watson Media) platforms, including live and on-demand channels.Troubleshoot and resolve live event ingest issues related to RTMP streams, encoders, and source connectivity.Investigate and resolve video playback issues involving HLS streaming, adaptive bitrate delivery, buffering, latency, and quality degradation.Support setup and management of streaming channels, viewer permissions, and access controls.Configure and troubleshoot SSO/SAML-based authentication and secure content access.Diagnose and resolve player, embed, and CDN-related issues impacting content delivery and user experience.Assist users with captions, analytics reporting, and platform usage queries.Monitor live events and provide real-time support during critical broadcasts.Create, maintain, and enhance operational documentation, runbooks, and knowledge-base articles.Coordinate with L3 support teams and IBM support for complex technical issues and product escalations.Follow ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management processes to ensure timely issue resolution. Expertise You'll Bring: 3+ years of experience in video streaming, media delivery, technical support, or platform operations.Strong understanding of streaming technologies including RTMP, HLS, adaptive bitrate (ABR) streaming, encoding, and content delivery workflows.Hands-on experience with video encoding tools such as OBS Studio, Wirecast, or similar streaming encoders.Knowledge of CDN concepts, content distribution, caching, and video delivery performance optimization.Experience with SSO/SAML authentication, user access management, and secure content delivery.Familiarity with REST APIs, troubleshooting API integrations, and analyzing request/response data.Basic understanding of HTML embed codes, video player configurations, and web-based integrations.Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills for live event and streaming-related incidents.Experience working within ITIL-based support environments and handling incident escalations.Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively during high-priority live event support scenarios.Exposure to cloud-based media platforms and video analytics solutions will be an added advantage.
