Position: Senior Business Analyst- Trade Finance Experience: 6-8 years Category: Software Development/ Engineering Shift: 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM Location: Bangalore/Hyderabad Position ID: J0826-0385 Employment Type: Full Time Education Qualification: Bachelors degree in computer science or related field or higher with minimum 6 years of relevant experience. The Senior Business Analyst will work on CGI Trade360, one of CGI's flagship Intellectual Property (IP) products, and will play a key role in driving business analysis activities across the product lifecycle. The candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, development, QA, and support teams to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, define functional solutions, and ensure successful product delivery. The role requires strong expertise in Trade Finance functionalities, with the ability to perform impact analysis, prepare detailed functional specifications, validate delivered solutions, and support testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). The Senior Business Analyst will also mentor junior team members, facilitate stakeholder discussions, and contribute to continuous product and process improvements. The ideal candidate should possess excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, along with a good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and Agile/Scrum methodologies. Experience in Supply Chain Finance (SCF) will be an added advantage. Your future duties and responsibilities: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze Functional Designs. Perform impact analysis, gap analysis, and recommend optimal functional solutions aligned with business objectives. Act as the functional bridge between business stakeholders, Product Owners, Development, Automation QA, and Support teams throughout the project lifecycle. Review solution designs to ensure functional requirements are accurately understood and implemented. Prepare, review, and execution of functional test cases, and support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Validate delivered functionality, perform defect triage, and ensure issues are resolved in accordance with business expectations. Participate in Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, providing functional leadership to the team. Prioritize and manage requirements, ensuring alignment with business priorities and product roadmap. Mentor and guide Business Analysts, promoting best practices in business analysis and documentation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous process improvements and product enhancements. Support production releases by providing functional expertise and assisting in issue analysis and resolution. Ensure complete requirements traceability and maintain high-quality project documentation throughout the software development lifecycle. Stay current with Trade Finance industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to contribute to product innovation and business value. Required qualifications to be successful in this role: Must-Have Skills: Strong knowledge of Trade Finance functionalities is mandatory. Ability to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, and translate them into detailed functional specifications. Solid stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to interact with business users, product owners, development, and QA teams. Experience in test case drafting, test execution, defect validation, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support. Ability to perform impact analysis, gap analysis, and functional solution validation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good-to-Have Skills: Experience in Supply Chain Finance (SCF) will be an added advantage. Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Good understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Knowledge of SQL and API testing tools is an added advantage. .
