About the Role As an Actuarial Analyst within Swiss Re's Actuarial Services Unit (ASU), you will play a key role in supporting actuarial pricing analytics and regulatory rate compliance for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions' North American product offerings. This is a dynamic, multi-faceted role where you'll blend rigorous data analysis with regulatory expertise, process automation, and competitive market intelligence. Key Responsibilities Prepare state-specific rate filings in accordance with state regulatory requirements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission Automate processes and workflows to simplify tasks, reduce manual effort, and drive continuous operational improvements Perform actuarial pricing tasks including rate reviews and rate impact analyses as part of well-defined, structured processes Conduct compliance audits to validate that rates being charged by the business align with filed and approved rates Investigate and resolve data issues, applying technical knowledge and process skills to reconcile discrepancies and develop effective solutions Support actuarial analytics projects such as competitor analysis, evaluating company rating factors and benchmarking premium, loss, and expense data against key market competitors Ensure operations align with internal guidelines and best practices, maintaining high standards of quality and consistency Support the review and development of US regulatory laws related to filings, staying current with an evolving regulatory landscape Contribute to ad hoc actuarial and regulatory work, including development of new rating analyses, data analysis, report creation, and support of costing model parameters About the Team We are a high-performing team at the intersection of insurance analytics, pricing strategy, and regulatory excellence the Actuarial Services Unit (ASU) at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions. About You You are a detail-oriented, analytically driven professional who brings both technical depth and a solutions-focused mindset to your work. You are proactive, collaborative, and adaptable someone who embraces change, works well in virtual team settings with partners across the globe, and consistently delivers accurate work to deadlines. You bring a constructive approach to process improvement and are genuinely curious about the evolving world of insurance analytics and regulation. We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements: Actuarial examination progress with a minimum of 3 actuarial papers passed from a recognized body such as IOA, IAI, CAS, SOA, or IOAA University degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, or Engineering (M.Sc. or Ph.D. preferred), with a strong numerical and analytical foundation Technical proficiency in Excel, SQL, VBA, MS Access, Business Objects, and R, with demonstrated experience applying these tools in an actuarial or analytical context 23 years of working experience in insurance or reinsurance, preferably with exposure to Property & Casualty (P&C) products in the North American market Experience in actuarial or IT system functionality, including designing, specifying, implementing, and testing actuarial functionality according to business requirements These are additional nice to haves: Familiarity with US state regulatory filing requirements and North American insurance regulatory frameworks Experience with process automation and a track record of driving efficiency improvements Project management skills and experience coordinating across cross-functional or virtual teams Exposure to competitor analysis or market intelligence within an insurance context Strong written and verbal English .
