Role Description The PHP & MySQL Intern role is a part-time remote internship focused on supporting the development and maintenance of web-based applications and internal tools. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing and testing PHP code, designing and optimizing MySQL queries and databases, and assisting in the integration of front-end and back-end components. The intern will collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot issues, improve application performance, and implement new features based on project requirements. The role also involves documenting code, following best practices in security and scalability, and participating in regular reviews to learn and apply industry-standard development processes. Qualifications Strong foundational skills in PHP programming and basic understanding of object-oriented concepts.Working knowledge of MySQL, including database design, query writing, and data manipulation.Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript for integrating front-end and back-end components.Understanding of software development fundamentals, including version control (e.g., Git) and debugging techniques.Ability to learn quickly, follow technical guidance, and work independently in a remote environment.Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a structured approach to testing and documentation.Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.Educational background in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (current student or recent graduate) is preferred.Interest in continuous learning, web development best practices, and building real-world projects that support organizational goals. .
