We are seeking a Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer to own the design, development, and verification of high-reliability firmware for our microcontroller-based satellite subsystems. In this role, you will work at the intersection of bare-metal software development and cutting-edge hardware, converting complex aerospace requirements into robust, high-performance C code. As a key member of our engineering division, you will directly drive firmware architecture, schematic integration, and bench-level debugging. Your ownership will directly impact sub-system reliability, hardware-software integration speed, and the overall execution of our active low-Earth orbit (LEO) satellite platforms. Architect, write, and debug bare-metal and low-level embedded C firmware for ARM 32-bit microcontroller systems powering satellite payloads and sub-systems. Hardware-Software Integration: Review hardware schematics, block diagrams, and datasheets to bring up board support packages (BSPs) and implement device drivers for analog and digital peripherals. Partner closely with hardware design, thermal, and systems engineering teams to translate high-level mission requirements into optimal firmware features. Perform root-cause analysis, hardware bring-up, and physical debugging using DSOs (Digital Storage Oscilloscopes), logic analyzers, and multimeters. Protocol & Bus Implementation: Configure and optimize robust embedded communication interfaces including UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, RS232/RS485, and USB. Quality & Lifecycle Management: Maintain version control, maintain code standards (e.g., MISRA C guidelines), and write technical documentation, design notes, and test cases to ensure space-grade software reliability. Experience: 48 years of hands-on experience in embedded C firmware development for microcontroller-based systems. Education: BE / B.Tech / ME / M.Sc. in Electronics Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline. Core Programming: Expert proficiency in Embedded C and bare-metal programming without reliance on abstraction layers. Solid grasp of digital and analog electronics concepts, including DAC/ADC interfaces and schematic reading. Hands-on experience troubleshooting, testing, and debugging hardware using DSOs, multimeters, and logic analyzers. Direct experience with ARM 32-bit microcontrollers, specifically Microchip SAM V71 architectures and the MPLAB IDE ecosystem. Code Quality & Standards: Working knowledge of MISRA C compliance and defensive programming techniques for high-reliability systems. Practical exposure to industrial and aerospace protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, RS232/RS485, USB). Pioneer Space Tech: Work directly on active satellite platforms inside India's first mass-production space facility.
