We are seeking a skilled QA Analyst to join our IT team and help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our enterprise software applications. https://www.karco.in/default.aspx About the Role We are looking for an experienced QA Analyst to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise software applications through comprehensive manual testing, defect management, SQL data validation, and release verification. You will work closely with Marine Support teams , Software Development, Application Support to ensure high-quality software releases and provide valuable input throughout the software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Analyze business and functional requirements to prepare effective test scenarios and test cases. Perform Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, Integration, and End-to-End testing. Execute manual testing for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes. Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using defect management tools. Validate bug fixes and perform regression testing before release. Execute SQL queries to validate application data and database integrity. Support application releases by performing pre-release and post-deployment validation. Assist in reproducing and analyzing production issues reported by users. Differentiate application issues from database, configuration, or infrastructure-related issues. Maintain QA documentation, test cases, execution reports, and testing evidence. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve software quality and testing processes. Mentor junior QA team members and promote QA best practices. Required Skills Technical Skills Strong experience in Manual Software Testing Functional, Regression, Integration, Smoke, and UAT Testing Test Case Design and Test Execution Defect Management and Root Cause Analysis SQL for Database Validation API Testing using Postman (Preferred) Good understanding of SDLC and STLC Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar defect tracking tools Basic knowledge of Windows Operating Systems Basic understanding of Networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IP Addressing) Basic understanding of Software Release Management Professional Skills Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities Excellent attention to detail Good communication and documentation skills Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams Strong ownership, accountability, and problem-solving mindset Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. 36 years of experience in Manual Software Testing, Application Testing, or Enterprise Application Support. Preferred Skills Experience testing Enterprise or Business Applications Experience with API testing using Postman Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies Basic knowledge of Git and version control Exposure to automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress will be an added advantage (not mandatory). Note: The final designation (QA Analyst / Senior QA Analyst) will be determined based on the candidate's experience, technical skills, and interview performance.
