Department OverviewIAM Engineer with experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise identity platforms and access control solutions. Strong background in directory services, authentication, and identity lifecycle automation. Proven ability to build scalable IAM solutions, integrate systems, and improve security posture through engineering, automation, and process optimization. DutiesDesign, implement, and maintain IAM solutions supporting secure authentication and access across enterprise systems, and identity lifecycle managementEngineer and optimize identity security integrations to ensure reliable authentication between enterprise systems and platforms.Implement and maintain authentication solutions including Single Sign-On (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and federation services.Administer and engineer directory services (Active Directory, Entra ID, ADFS) to support secure identity and access frameworks.Perform root cause analysis on identity and access issues, designing long-term fixes to improve system resilience and reduce operational overhead.Build and maintain role models and access control structures to enforce least privilege and support enterprise security standards.Support ongoing IAM platform enhancements, upgrades, and integration of new applications into the identity ecosystem.Partner with security, application, and infrastructure teams to design scalable IAM integrations and solutions.Generate engineering-level documentation, including architecture diagrams, workflows, and technical standards.Contribute to audit readiness by designing and supporting access controls, logging, and reporting mechanisms.Identify and implement continuous improvements to IAM platforms, focusing on automation, scalability, and user experience.QualificationsTechnical SkillsDirectory & Identity Systems: Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, ADFS (Also having Saviynt, Silverfort, and/or BeyondTrust experience is a plus)Authentication & Security: SSO, MFA, access governance, audit controlsAutomation & Integration: APIs, scripting (PowerShell), workflow automationITSM & Dev Tools: ServiceNow, Jira, ConfluenceData & Reporting: Identity data validation, reporting, analytics Education & CertificationsBachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related fieldRelated Certifications are a plusMcDonalds is the worlds leading global foodservice retailer with over 40,000 locations in over 100 countries.
