Position: VDI Infrastructure Engineer Location - Hyderabad (5 days Onsite) Long-Term Contract Position Overview: The VDI Infrastructure Engineer Windows Desktop will support and enhance a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure environment with a strong focus on Windows operating systems. This role partners closely with engineering and operations teams to design, build, image, and automate Windows based virtual desktop solutions. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in the Windows ecosystem, VDI platforms, and automation using Powershell, with limited reliance on cloud native services. Must need Candidates with Omnissa Horizon implementation and core hands-on automation (Powershell /Ansible) experience are required Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain Windows desktop images for a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure platform Support VDI infrastructure including image creation, optimization, and lifecycle management Troubleshoot and resolve complex Windows operating system and desktop related issues Develop and maintain automation scripts using Powershell to streamline desktop engineering and operational tasks Collaborate with infrastructure and endpoint teams to ensure stable, secure, and scalable VDI solutions Participate in standardization and continuous improvement of Windows desktop engineering practices Provide documentation and knowledge transfer for VDI builds, automation, and support processes Qualifications: Strong experience as a Windows Desktop Engineer or VDI Infrastructure Engineer Expert level knowledge of Windows operating systems and the Windows desktop ecosystem Hands on experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure platforms Advanced Powershell scripting skills with a focus on automation Experience supporting enterprise scale desktop environments Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently in a fast paced environment Less emphasis on cloud engineering with more focus on Windows OS and VDI expertise Tools and Technologies: Windows operating systems Virtual Desktop Infrastructure platforms (Citrix) PowerShell scripting and automation Windows desktop management and imaging tools .
