Role Overview The Associate Director, ServiceNow Platform Engineering will be responsible for the Release Engineering, Operations, Testing services to be provided to ServiceNow Product Managers and their Stakeholders. This role will support our ServiceNow Value Team function and collaborate closely with various teams across the IT organization to ensure the effective management and utilization of deployed capabilities across ServiceNow eco-system. The incumbent will lead initiatives to enhance operational maturity, integrations robustness, Instance hardening, Quality Engineering discipline and adoption of CI/CD into releAase engineering within ServiceNow platform management.The position will interact with several levels in the organization and will be critical in establishing good relationships with numerous operational areas and with other global functions.What will you do in this role Develop and maintain a robust platform architecture framework supporting the CMDB and ServiceNow Platform, aligning with organizational goals and best practices.Establish and enforce governance policies and standards for Instance Management, User Access Review, Instance Hardening, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.Identify and implement process improvements related to release engineering, quality engineering and operational support, including publishing of Knowledge for reusability, effective/automated governance, repeatable quality engineering practices.Work closely with cross-functional teams to define platform requirements, establish continuous performance finetuning, and ensure operational service continuity aligned to achieving business objectives.Analyze, design, and develop solutions and implementation plans based on current versus future state architectures that align with business needs.Lead the definition and implementation of high-level requirements, principles, and models that guide solution decisions.Conduct architecture evaluations and collaborate with delivery squads to develop solution architectures that fit business needs.Analyze current solution architecture to detect deficiencies and recommend improvements.Define process improvements, including but not limited to, across platform management replication, archiving, security, user experience, upgradability and manageability.Lead a cross functional engineering team members release engineering, quality engineering, support engineering.Develop and monitor KPIs and metrics to assess the health and performance of the platform and data, providing regular updates to leadership.Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including policies, procedures, and training materials, to support effective data management practices.Engage with process owners, product managers, and senior leadership to communicate data architecture strategies and advocate for necessary investments.What should you have RequiredProficiency with ServiceNow Platform Administration, DevOps practices, integration methods, and operational best practices.Minimum of at least 1 Certified Implementation Specialist certifications across 3 areas - Data (i.e. DF, HAM, SAM), Security & Compliance (SIR, VR, RC, VRM, BCM), Technology (HR, ITSM)MSc Degree or BSc Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
