Overview of the Specialist, Quality Assurance and Engineering: Were seeking a Specialist Quality Engineer to join one of our Scrum teams and help shape how quality and automation scale across customers facing financial platforms. This role goes beyond test execution, youll influence test strategy, automation standards, and quality gates, while owning the end-to-end quality of your teams deliverables. Youll partner closely with developers, product owners, and fellow QEs to ensure our solutions are reliable, maintainable, and ready to scale. Reporting to the Manager, Technology Development, you will be embedded within the Maxit product team, responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy, and reliability of Tax reporting web applications and services. This role focuses on validating dataintensive, APIdriven, and batchoriented financial systems ensuring correctness across UI, backend services, and orchestration layers. As part of our global Quality Engineering organization, youll help expand and stabilize our automated testing capabilities while working in a hybrid model alongside teams based in Bangalore, India. Duties and Responsibilities of the Specialist, Quality Assurance and Engineering: Quality & Test Strategy Own the overall quality of your teams deliverables across functional, integration, and regression testing Review product requirements and designeffective test plans, scenarios, and test caseswith clear traceability Perform endtoend testing ofTax reporting. Apply risk-based thinking to prioritize high value test coverage and release confidence Automation & Execution Design and build automated tests forUI and/or API layerswith an automation first mindset. Maintain reliable, maintainable, and scalable automation suites with strong regression value. Execute and support testing activities includingfunctional, integration, regression, and UAT support. Continuous Improvement Manage defect reporting and proactivelyidentifysystemic quality risks. Troubleshoot failures end-to-end across automation code, environments, test data, and application defects. Mentorpeers andcontribute to evolving automation practices and standards. Skills and Experience of the Specialist, Quality Assurance and Engineering: 6+ofexperience testing complex web-based applications. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field Strong understanding of testing methodologies including functional, regression, negative, integration, and system testing. Strong programming experience inat least one modern languageused for test automation (e.g.,C#, Java,orTypeScript). Experience building andmaintainingUI automationusing modern frameworks (e.g., Selenium or Playwright). Experience testingAPIsusing industrystandard tools (e.g., Postman,ReadyAPI, or Rest API) Experience usingBDDstyle frameworks(e.g., Cucumber). Perform batchtobatch and batchtoUI/API reconciliation. Familiarity with Bash/Shell scripts. Perform integration testing involvingIBM MQ / messaging queueswhere applicable Perform extensiveOracle DB validation using SQL scripting.
