Location: Bangalore, India Work Mode: Full-time | 5 Days WFO Experience: 15 Years Shift: US Healthcare / Night Shift About the Role We are looking for a Medical Coder with strong knowledge of US healthcare coding and billing processes. The candidate will be responsible for accurately reviewing medical records, assigning appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes, and ensuring claims comply with payer and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Review medical records, clinical documentation, and patient charts for coding accuracy.Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes based on documentation.Apply coding guidelines, payer policies, and NCCI/CMS requirements.Review and validate claims for coding accuracy before submission.Identify coding discrepancies, missing documentation, and potential claim issues.Work with billing and clinical teams to resolve coding-related queries.Maintain accuracy, productivity, and turnaround-time (TAT) targets.Perform coding audits and support quality improvement initiatives.Stay updated on changes to ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, CMS guidelines, and payer policies.Ensure compliance with HIPAA and US healthcare regulations.Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information.Requirements 15 years of experience in US Healthcare Medical Coding.Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding.Understanding of US healthcare claims, medical terminology, and payer processes.Familiarity with CMS-1500, EOB/ERA, POS, modifiers, and medical necessity.Experience with EHR/EMR, encoder, or medical billing systems.Strong analytical and documentation-review skills.Good written and verbal communication skills.Ability to meet productivity and accuracy targets.CPC / CCS / CCA certification preferred.Preferred Experience Experience in any of the following specialties is an advantage: Evaluation & Management (E/M)SurgeryEmergency MedicineRadiologyAnesthesiaCardiologyOrthopedicsPrimary CareRisk Adjustment / HCC CodingWhat We Offer Competitive salary and career growth opportunities.Exposure to US healthcare and end-to-end RCM processes.Training and continuous learning opportunities.Collaborative work environment.Opportunity to work with modern healthcare technology and RCM platforms.Compensation: 40,497.42 - 60,000.00 per month Benefits: Health insuranceLeave encashmentPaid time offProvident FundEducation: Bachelor's (Preferred)Experience: Medical coding: 1 year (Preferred)Shift availability: Night Shift (Preferred)Work Location: In person .
