We are looking for a Bookkeeper / Accountant to join our team on a full-time, long-term basis. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in bookkeeping, VAT, and accounting, with UK bookkeeping and accounting experience preferred. Position: Bookkeeper / Accountant Work Type: Full-Time | Remote Working Hours: 7:00 AM 3:30 PM UK Time Probation: 3 months, followed by a long-term contract subject to performance Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting tasks Perform accurate and timely data entry Handle VAT-related work and maintain relevant records Maintain accurate financial records and accounts Work with UK-based clients and follow UK accounting practices Ensure deadlines are consistently met Identify issues and take a proactive approach to resolving them Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Essential Requirements Previous experience in bookkeeping and/or accounting Good understanding of VAT Strong data entry and numerical skills UK bookkeeping/accounting experience is preferred Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong problem-solving skills Ability to work independently in a remote environment Strong organisational and time-management skills Reliable and committed to meeting deadlines Good written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications & Experience The following are not mandatory, but preference will be given to candidates who have: Hands-on experience with cloud-based bookkeeping/accounting software, particularly: Xero QuickBooks FreeAgent Experience working with UK-based clients Relevant accounting/finance qualifications or education, such as: ACCA (Pursuing) CA Inter M.Com MBA (Finance/Accounting preferred) What We Offer Competitive salary Fully remote working Full-time, fixed working hours Opportunity to work with UK-based clients 3-month probation period with the opportunity for a long-term contract Professional and supportive working environment Opportunity to develop further experience in UK bookkeeping and accounting If you are an experienced Bookkeeper / Accountant who is detail-oriented, reliable, proactive, and comfortable working with UK clients, we would love to hear from you.
